instructions
the main jig is simple to set up
YOU WILL REQUIRE:
1 x 3mm or 4mm wood drill bit.
4 x 3/4" 6 screws
1 x (shelf baton/curtain baton) 22mm x 44mm x 400 minimum length. (Can use most straight timber but this works best)
ROUTER REQUIREMENTS:
1 x 20mm plunge router bit. (Router bits with the drill end works best)
1 x 23.8mm (15/16) diameter guide bush
CLAMP your JIG to the timber....if you're using the 22mm x 44mm baton ,you can flush the outside of the JIG to the outside of the timber and the inside of the timber will be automatically lined up with the guide line scribed on the main Jig (see pic at top of page) THIS IS THE PREFERRED METHOD.
(If you're using a larger straight timber, set the edge of the timber to the scribed guide line on the JIG)...Once cramped countersink the holes with a 3mm or 4mm wood drill bit.
JUSTJIG...TOP TIP!!!...COUNTERSINK WITH YOUR DRILL IN REVERSE SO YOU DON'T DRILL TO DEEP AND YOU DON'T HARM THE JIG
Then screw the JIG to the timber BY HAND so you don't over tighten..countersinking the screws ensure they go in straight.
